Let's continue on with the Galiano Island Soapworks staff picks shall we?
Next up we have our manager Seonaid who has been with the company since it began and has a background in skincare sales and marketing. She truly appreciates that none of the ingredients used at Soapworks are tested on animals and that our plants, botanicals and other components are harvested respectfully and sustainably. Seonaid is definitely head over heels for one of our newest products: our Raven Dark Espresso Scrub. It is made from both the coffee and coffee grounds from our local Galiano Coffee Roasting Company's popular Raven Dark and to be honest, the scent is to die for! It combines the rich aromas of strongly brewed java with cinnamon and almond essential oils to create the perfect fragrance. Seonaid loves how this scrub rinses away easily and leaves her skin feeling hydrated and soft; plus coffee is loaded with antioxidants that help fight the signs of aging and works wonders in reducing swelling as well as calms inflamed skin. A fun fact about this scrub: use it on your hands to get rid of any unappealing odors and leave your hands feeling super soft. Seonaid also loves using our Foaming Cucumber Facial Cleanser as well as our Cucumber Toner; she finds them soothing, cooling and calming for her normal to dry skin and perfect for reducing redness and puffiness. A very refreshing experience!
Now onto Nyasha. I am the newest member to join the Soapworks team and have been loving my job and the serene atmosphere immensely so far. I enjoy writing blogs for the company's website and am also inspired by a more natural approach to skin and hair care. My absolute favorite product at the moment is our Magic Oil Serum. The cold winters can sometimes wreak havoc on my skin along with eczema, but this serum and its premium ingredients helped keep my skin extremely moisturized and healthy all season long. This serum has far too many amazing ingredients to list, one of which being cranberry seed oil which is high in fatty acids and antioxidants that help deliver protection and hydration. A tiny bit of this product goes a long way and I do not even need to apply a face cream afterwards! I have also been indulging in many more bubble baths now that I have found our Botanicals 'N Berries Bubble Bath. Not only does this formula contain skin-nourishing sea buckthorn berry extract, I love that the thick, luxurious foam is long-lasting and smells delicious. I agree with Seonaid that the Raven Dark Espresso Scrub is by far the best way to start the day; my skin feels exfoliated, fresh and smooth after using. (Did I mention the yummy scent?!) Last but certainly not least on my top product picks: our infamous lip balms! The perfect blend of sweet almond oil, shea butter and beeswax prevents dry, chapped lips, absorbs easily and adds a natural shine. I love the smell of our Horse Lips lip balm, slightly coconut-y with hints of peppermint. Yum!
